Experienced Computer Hardware Break/Fix Technician


PLEASE REVIEW ALL INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS. YOU MUST BE AN EXPERIENCED BREAK/FIX COMPUTER TECHNICIAN, WITH PROFESSIONAL OR CONTRACT COMPUTER HARDWARE REPAIR EXPERIENCE! PLEASE DO NOT APPLY, IF YOU DON'T HAVE RELEVANT EXPERIENCE. THIS IS HARDWARE REPAIR ONLY, NO SOFTWARE SERVICE, APPLICATION RE-INSTALL, OR DATA RECOVERY INVOLVED.
You will be asked to cover at least a 30 mile radius coverage territory, you will be asked to pass OEM product certifications, and background/drug screens (if you cannot pass a background or drug screen, please do not apply). All certifications, background and drug screens, will be provided at no cost. Please review the flat rate payment structure. Reviewing all of the info will prevent unnecessary questions, and will help you determine if this is the right type of work for you. We will be providing the techs we select to work with, service calls on a daily basis (that's each day, Monday to Friday) during business hours. If you can't perform multiple work orders daily, M-F, please do not respond. We are seeking a technician to be the Go To provider for the area of coverage listed (City, State, Zip), for multiple daily hardware warranty break/fix work orders (typical minimum daily volume of 2-3 calls per day, that volume will increase by as much as double if you certify on more products after we begin). Your area of coverage will start from the Parts Pickup location (city, state, zip listed, where parts are picked up), and usually extends to a 30 mile radius around that location (territory radius may be larger in rural areas). Some areas may be larger if rural, some smaller if more densely populated.
This requisition is open ended. Again, these will be daily work orders, and we will dedicate an area and calls to you. You need to be available daily and during business hours, to run a minimum of 2-3/calls per day or more (Call volume will increase if you get additional product certifications, and if you live in a larger metro area). You are not required to dedicate your entire schedule to ASM in support of this client, but it is advised that you have the availability to incorporate a minimum of 2-3 calls a day at minimum to your schedule daily. If you certify on additional products, and you live it metro area, you could be kept busy at a full time pace.
Please be advised, our client prefers techs who live, or have an office, within 25 miles of the location listed. We will not accept techs who live (or have an office) farther than 25 miles from the city, state, zip code listed.
To get started. I need you to confirm you understand you will need to pass provided product certifications, as well as Background and Drug screen within 10 days. You must complete product certifications within 10 days of ASM registering you for the contract position, or you will be removed from the opportunity! Please be very clear on this. The faster you complete the certifications the better as work is available now.
When all is done, you will perform as a contractor for ASM Computer, supporting our client (and others if work is available). Pay will be processed to you contract 1099, invoices paid Net 25.
Rates are as follows:
Flat rate per call.
For Work orders with point to point mileage of 0-50 miles, Rate $35/per call.
For Work orders with Mileage 51-74, Rate $50.
For Work orders with mileage 75-100, Rate $70.
(Mileage is calculated from parts pickup to first call, then call to call. If first call of day travel is direct to client site, bypassing parts pickup, mileage calculated from home/office to first call).

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
